[edit] Problem with Z-Value?

In my new cell, any summoned creatures do not appear, magicka is lost, the spell timer appears, but the creature is nowhere to be SEEN. i'm guessing there's a problem with the Z value. my dungeon's building blocks all have the Z set to 0. I just thought it would make sense. IS that the problem?

also, whenever i summon a creature (a conjuration spell that i have CREATED, eg. summon timber wolf, which isn't availble in Vanilla) it does not follow me in to or out of my new dungeon.

any suggestions or solutions with my two problems would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Sounds more like a missing Path Grid - summoned creatures can only appear at grid points. --Elim Garak 08:10, 2 August 2008 (EDT)

[edit] Lighting or Climate via Script?

Hello, I have made a mod for myself that greatly increases fps by removing all light sources. Outdoors still look great and most caves still have their specular shiny because of directional lighting, but inside houses lost their shiny because they are only using ambient lighting.

Is there a function I can use to set an interiors directional lighting?

I would much rather make a global script then edit every map seperetly, especially with all the dlc and shivering isles. I have looked through the list of functions, all I can find is getclimate and setlight radius but nothing that looks like it changes a maps directional light settings, I was hoping someone else knew a way to do this. --Mightylink

[edit] Faction Ownership

It seems that in some cases, faction ownership of a cell doesn't work properly. This was most recently brought to my attention with Olav's Tap and Tack, where fights will break out regularly as the patrons "steal" food...this seems to happen more often if you're actually in the cell for a lengthy period of time (perhaps just as the hour changes).

Changing the ownership to Olav himself instead of the faction corrects the problem, but I was hoping someone might have something a little more detailed on the specific nature of the problem - why single ownership works and faction ownership fails.

I know I've come across mention of this problem before in an online forum somewhere, but I can't seem to find any specific info on it right now. I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. If we can find details, we should also definitely post them in the body of the article. --RobinHood70 18:26, 5 August 2009 (EDT)
